St. Vincent Electricity Services Poster Competition
Health and Safety Month Theme: “AI in Action – Transforming Safety, Protecting Lives.”
Objective:
The objective of the poster competition is to encourage primary (Grades 1 to 5) and secondary school students (Forms 1 to 4) to explore and visualize how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing electrical safety, energy efficiency or sustainable energy in protecting the lives of communities and promoting safe practices. The aim is to inspire creativity and raise awareness about the role of technological advancements in safety.
Competition Overview:
- Theme: "AI in Action: Transforming Safety, Protecting Lives"
- Eligibility: Open to students from Grade 1 to Form 5, across schools nationwide.
- Poster Format: Digital or physical posters (depending on school preference).
- Medium: Any artistic medium is allowed (e.g., drawing, painting, digital art, mixed media).
Key Dates:
- Competition Launch Date: Monday 28th April 2025
- Submission Deadline: Wednesday 28th May 2025
- Winners Announced: Friday 6th June 2025
Submission Guidelines:
- Poster Requirements:
- Each student should create a poster that reflects the theme, showcasing how Artificial Intelligence is or can be used to enhance electrical safety, energy efficiency or sustainable energy.
- Posters should be original, with no copyrighted material.
- The poster must be accompanied by a short written description (50-100 words) explaining the concept in the depicted scenario.
- Size/Dimensions:
- Digital Posters: Submit in JPEG, PNG, or PDF format (min. 300 DPI, max file size: 10MB).
- Physical Posters: Maximum size of 24 inches’ x 36 inches (A2 size).
- Submission Method:
- Email Submission: Send the digital poster in .JPEG or .PNG format to [email address] with the subject line:
"AI in Action Poster Competition - [Student's Name, Grade/Form, School]" - Physical Drop-Off: Deliver the physical poster to the reception desk at VINLEC’s Corporate Headquarters. Ensure it is labeled:
"AI in Action Poster Competition - [Student's Name, Grade/Form, School]"
All entries, whether digital or physical, must be submitted by 4:00 PM on Wednesday 28th May, 2025.
Judging Criteria:
- Relevance to Theme (30%): How well the poster represents the theme "AI in Action: Transforming Safety, Protecting Lives."
- Creativity and Originality (30%): The uniqueness of the concept and artistic execution.
- Clarity and Visual Impact (20%): How easily the viewer can understand the message and the overall visual appeal.
- Written Explanation (20%): The clarity and depth of the explanation provided with the poster.

- Grand Prize (1st Place): $500.00
- Second Place: $200.00
- Third Place: $100.00
- Recognition for Top 10 Finalists: Certificates for the top 10 entries, and their posters will be displayed in a digital gallery on VINLEC’s website and social media platforms
Primary Category
Guidelines: Create a poster that will demonstrate how computers (AI) help keep electrical systems safe
- Grand Prize (1st Place): $200.00
- Second Place: $150.00
- Third Place: $100.00
- Recognition for Top 10 Finalists: Certificates for the top 10 entries, and their posters will be displayed in a digital gallery on VINLEC’s website and social media platforms
Award Ceremony:
- The winners will be announced on Friday 6th June, 2025.
- Schools with winning entries will receive a certificate of appreciation, and the top entries will be featured in internal communications, promoting the innovative work of students.
How to Enter:
- Submit the poster and written description by the deadline include your full name, grade, school and contact information on the back of the poster.
- The poster must include the theme "AI in Action – Transforming Safety, Protecting Lives."
Creative Guidelines
- Use bold colors and clear visuals to convey your message.
- Make sure your description is concise and your design communicates how AI is improving safety and protecting lives.
- Be creative with how you show AI and electrical safety.

- Ensure any images or content used are either original or copyright-free.
- All decisions made by the judges are final.
